PS3 And PC Users Get Uprising For Black Ops II

Although the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s newest DLC pack, Uprising , has already hit, other gamers have been left out thus far. Lucky for us, Activision and Treyarch recently announced that the content will be going multi-plat May 16 th , and will be staying true to its $14.99 price tag.

The DLC “includes four new multiplayer maps, plus ‘Mob of the Dead,’ a bone-chilling new Zombies experience,” says the pair.

Mob of the Dead caters to the zombie side of the fan-base, and offers four playable characters who all share the characteristic of being a prisoner of Alcatraz prison, where the zombie horde will be taking place.

The new maps are looking to diversify the multiplayer system, each given a distinct theme, and one even offering a revamp a map from the original Black Ops. Those are:

  • Magma – Set within a modern Japanese village, volcanic eruptions carve multiple paths throughout the town.
  • Encore – Taking place in the aftermath of a deserted London music festival, Encore leaves numerous opportunities for run-and-gun, close quarters combat.
  • Vertigo – A futuristic high-rise mega-structure located in India featuring dizzying vistas and multi-tiered pathways.
  • Studio – A contemporary re-imagining of “Firing Range,” the fan-favorite multiplayer map from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops . “Studio” is a Hollywood movie back lot with a variety of cinematic themes that range from Sci-Fi to the Old West.
