Battleship Producer Signs On For Gears Of War Movie

Battleship Producer Signs On For Gears Of War Movie

It sounds like the Gears of War movie is coming along nicely. Scott Stuber, the producer behind Battleship, has signed on as a scriptwriter. Stuber will work with Epic Games in order to nail that Gears of War feel.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Battleship? The schlocky, military movie designed after a children’s board game?” Yup. You’re correct, and that is why Stuben is perfect for this role. When you think of overly masculine military men shooting each other for no apparent reason, Gears of War should be the first thing on your mind.

Until today, we hadn’t heard anything about the Gears of War movie for quite a while. Many had even speculated that the project was dead. The project was launched in 2007 and we still don’t have a script. It’s nice to know that the project is still alive, but if they don’t get moving, we might forget about the Gears of War franchise before the movie even comes out.
