Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Getting a Sequel?

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Getting a Sequel?

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon has been getting outstanding reviews from critics everywhere. This hilarious, neon-purple shooter that’s filled with eighties schlock may just be more well-received than the original Far Cry 3.

In fact, it looks like Blood Dragon may be getting a sequel. Well, Michael Beihn, one of the game’s voice actors, spoke to the game’s creative director, Dean Evans, about the future of the game and it sounds like Evans is looking to turn Blood Dragon into “some sort of franchise.”

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is only eight hours long, so it shouldn’t be hard to extend the story in a longer campaign. That being said, the story is pretty self-contained so we would have to see some crazy plot twists to keep the ball rolling. If it does become a franchise, though, we may be looking at the next Modern Warfare-like success story—a total departure from what the franchise was originally about.

Frankly, I am in support of this. We need more cheesy games in the world.
