Injustice Slated For Evo 2013

Injustice Slated For Evo 2013

The Evo competition, perhaps the most well-known fighting game championship in the United States, will be adding Injustice: Gods Among Us to this year’s proceedings. It joins Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, King of Fighters XIII, Street Fighter X Tekken, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Persona 4 Arena, and its sibling game, Mortal Kombat. Super Smash Bros. Melee will also be on the docket as the Player’s Choice entry.

Seeing as Injustice is still a young game, with DLC and balance patches still in the process of being rolled out, Evo 2013’s organizers have a set a June 30 cut-off for the game. Any DLC or patches released between then and the tournament, which runs from July 12-14 in Las Vegas, will not be implemented in the tournament at Evo. This cut-off, notably, includes the newly released Lobo and will most likely allow for the recently announced Batgirl as well.
