LIMBO Coming To Vita Next Week

LIMBO Coming To Vita Next Week

LIMBO is one of the most distinctive independent games in recent memory, even three years after its release, and it still a title that draws attention and sparks conversation. It combines a silhouetted visual style with a dark, disturbing aesthetic in a world that hosts death around every turn. It’s an adventure game that seems, from the get-go, to tackle the loss of innocence and the confrontation of the terrible by the naïve and young.

It’s coming to the PlayStation Vita next week.

One of the most atmospheric experiences in gaming, LIMBO doesn’t immediately seem suited to handheld gaming, but the folks at Double Eleven and Playdead have put in the hours to bring a port of the game to Sony’s oft-beleaguered portable in a manner that they assert will not compromise the experience.

Which is important, since LIMBO is really all about the experience. It’s a puzzle-platformer, but the actual puzzles are somewhat secondary to way that the events surrounding them make you feel. LIMBO will hit the PS Vita on June 4. It will retail exclusively on the PSN for $14.99.
