Diablo 3 Headed To The Xbox

Diablo 3 Headed To The Xbox

Recently, Blizzard announced that Diablo 3 would be coming to PlayStation home consoles this year. Now, it appears as if the game will also be heading to the Xbox 360 as well. The Xbox version should hit shelves on September 3 rd , 2013. Even though the game is slated to come out on the PlayStation 4 sometime in the future, an Xbox One release has not be confirmed.

The Xbox 360 version of Diablo 3 will be nearly identical to the PS3 version. It will be optimized for console play, and won’t necessarily be a direct port. It will also come with the same pre-order bonuses as the PS3 version, which means you’ll get the Infernal Helm, an XP boosting item. The game will also feature both online and offline co-op gameplay.

Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime had this to say about Diablo 3’s upcoming console release:

“Playing Diablo 3 on a big screen with your friends brings a whole new level of intensity to the game, and with all of the control and interface adaptations we’ve made, it’s extremely fun to play on PS3 and Xbox 360.

In addition to the fine-tuning we’ve done for the console versions, we’re also including major content and design updates we’ve made to the PC version over the past year, so players can expect an epic Diablo gaming experience when the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions launch in September”.
