EA Shows Off Dragon Age 3: Inquisition

EA Shows Off Dragon Age 3: Inquisition

EA’s E3 press conference only recently concluded, and they’ve already given us a new RPG experience to look forward to in the next-gen. Dragon Age 3: Inquisition was not only confirmed, but flaunted in all its glory with its brand new trailer titled “Fires Above.”

Unfortunately, the trailer didn’t show us much in the way of gameplay—at least, not the elements that fans were after. Sure, we saw gorgeous cinematic events and crazy demons fall from the sky, but the party system, combat tricks, and crafting never found the spotlight. Then again, we can’t expect EA to throw all of their Dragon Age cards out on day one.

We were, however, able to glean two important facts regarding the next DA adventure: It will release in Fall of 2014, and, seemingly in response to player feedback, the game will be returning to the open-world style of Dragon Age: Origins . Dragon Age 2 departed from the open-world formula in favor of an expectedly Mass Effect like linear narrative, but Inquisition promises to give players that Origins feel of a seamless world.
