Sony announced a major shift in online policy during the feel-good bonanza that was their E3 press conference. The low-key announcement was made in such a way as to not disrupt the crowd’s good mood; they said that by purchasing a PlayStation Plus membership players will have the “ability to fully immerse themselves in the incredible PS4 games with online multiplayer.”
This drastic shift in policy seems less drastic when comparied to their freshly announced used games and always-online policies .
