It looks like the upcoming iOS version of XCOM isn’t the only new XCOM release we have to look forward to. 2K and 2K Marin have announced that downloadable content for their upcoming game, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, will be heading to the Xbox 360 first. The add-on content will eventually become available on all platforms, including PS3 and PC, but Xbox 360 gets first dibs. Release dates for the DLC have not been given.
2K also announced that the game’s DLC will be mostly story-based content that will “expand the declassified origin story of the clandestine XCOM organization.”
“We take great pride in our track record of providing high-quality, post-release content for our games,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “We will continue to expand the XCOM universe by telling original stories set in the paranoia-drenched Cold War era of The Bureau.”
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will be available on August 20, 2013 in North America and August 23, 2013 in other territories.
