Ken Levine Writing Logan’s Run Remake

Ken Levine Writing Logan’s Run Remake

BioShock creator Ken Levine is trying his hands at film once more. Taking a break from his successful career in making cinematic gaming spectacles, he will now be in charge of writing a screenplay for an upcoming Warner Bros. remake of Logan’s Run.

Not to worry, Levine hasn’t given up game development yet. Levine will continue on with Irrational Games even as he writes the screenplay. According to Levine, Logan’s Run has long been a “passion project” for him, something he wanted to do long before BioShock was even a twinkle in his eye. In fact, Levine originally pursued a career as a screenwriter before finding his way to the world of games.

Currently, details on the upcoming remake are being kept under wraps. It’s uncertain whether or not this remake will be based on the classic 1976 film or the book that it was based on. Perhaps, Ken Levine will then take on the challenge of making a video game adaptation of his own film! Maybe then we can finally get a movie-based game that doesn’t totally suck.
