Killzone Showcase Reveals PS4 Online Functions

Killzone Showcase Reveals PS4 Online Functions

A new trailer for the PS4’s interface shows off quite a few of the system’s new features, and adds a heaping helping of Killzone: Shadow Fall to the mix. Sony has boasted about the PS4’s “download as you play” function in the past, but we’re just now seeing it in action. Better still, Shadow Fall ’s (and, derivatively, all other digital titles’) download screen shows that players will be able to prioritize between single-player and multi-player mode downloads, letting them jump straight into their game.

The video also emphasizes the speed and ease that come with the PS4.We see the system boot from offline mode in seconds, load a title in even less time, and switch between the PSN, live gameplay, and text chat impressively quickly. This echoes Sony’s promise to deliver an accessibly system with the PS4, and bodes well for the console’s appeal.

I know I’m tired of waiting.
