If you were paying attention to EVO last weekend, you probably got saw brand new trailer for Killer Instinct that showcased Glacius and a new mechanic, the counter breaker, which will allow you to continue combos even after your opponent breaks them. While the trailer certainly showed off a lot of cool combos for Glacius and several new aspects of the gameplay system, it’s the final teaser in the video that most fans are excited about.
After Glacius was done beating up his opponents, the camera cut to a tree, which is immediately impacted by a Tomahawk. Most fans are assuming that this means Chief Thunder, a classic character from the original Killer Instinct , will be added to the roster.
Chief Thunder was a pretty basic character. He had a projectile, an uppercut, an expansion move, and one very unique move that allowed him to call lightning down on his opponents. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in Killer Instinct’s new system.
