Ancient Battlefield 3 Easter Egg Finally Discovered

Ancient Battlefield 3 Easter Egg Finally Discovered

A while back, former DICE voice-over producer Tomas Danko gave some incredibly specific clues to unlocking an audio Easter egg in Battlefield 3. According to the clues, you’ll need to be between 110 and 350 meters from a spotter and less than 350 meters from an AA gun. Then, once you have fulfilled those conditions, there is a 0.5% chance that the audio easter egg will play. As you could expect, this wasn’t exactly the easiest Easter egg to find. However, the Battlefield community plugged away at it and user JackFrags finally discovered what had been hiding all the time.

The Easter egg is simple. Instead of actually talking about the spotted AA, you’ll hear “We have spotted a hostile Goldfarb in your area.” This is a reference to David Goldfarb of DICE Games. Strangely enough, he didn’t figure this out by actually playing the game. Instead, he went searching through the game’s ripped audio files to find it. So, to this day, there is still no recording of the Easter egg in an actual match.

So, go out there and get some hard evidence!
