Vesperia Invades Symphonia Chronicles

Vesperia Invades Symphonia Chronicles

Tales of Symphonia, one of the best games on the Nintendo GameCube, is now on its way to the PlayStation 3 via an HD rerelease (paired with its Wii-based sequel, Dawn of the New World). The games will come, though, bearing some additional crossover elements.

Judith and Rita, from Tales of Vesperia, will be represented in Tales of Symphonia Chronicles by way of special costumes, though information on who will wear them has yet to be released.

Crossing Tales of Vesperia with the PS3-exclusive Symphonia Chronicles is an interesting decision. While Vesperia is certainly one of the best games in the series, it was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive. While Japan eventually received a PS3 version of the game, that edition never made its way overseas, which means that those with only a PS3 have both missed out on a terrific Tales game and will soon be taunted by Namco BANDAI with the addition of costumes from that game in their upcoming release.

Talk about insult to injury.
