BioWare Talks About Mass Effect 4, New IP

BioWare recently answered a few questions on Twitter concerning two of their upcoming works: Mass Effect 4 and their new franchise.

First, the developer stated that Mass Effect 4 will be friendly to both fans and newcomers, though they didn’t indicate whether or not a system such as Mass Effect: Genesis would be incorporated. Genesis , for the uninitiated, was an interactive comic book that continued the story from the original Mass Effect title for people who purchased Mass Effect 2 on the PS3.

The team is also working on animation improvements for the sequel, and they mentioned that, in terms of RPG elements, they’re taking as much inspiration from Mass Effect 1 , a game with a good deal of RPG flair, as they are from Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 , games that were a bit light in the RPG department.

BioWare also mentioned some teasers concerning their new franchise, stating that the game had a successful first project review. Apparently most of the team that worked on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will stay with the studio through the game’s completion.
