Left 4 Dead 3 Shows Up in Valve HQ

Left 4 Dead 3 Shows Up in Valve HQ

Largely due to the popularity of their Half Life series, Valve is often branded with a humorous stigma of being unable to “count to three,” or, more accurately, refusing to release a third game in their many franchises. However, a recent photo leak from the studio’s Bellevue headquarters shows that at least one “three” may be in development: the fabled (and currently unannounced) Left 4 Dead 3 .

The information comes from a photograph of a development log; tourming members of the DOTA 2 Reddit community took the photo. A closer look at the wall of script reveals the line, “[Source2] Changed L4D3’s test_networking unit test to use the devtest level again.”

It’s not exactly an announcement trailer, but the acronym L4D3 can only have so many meanings. And although Valve has yet to comment on the rumor, or better yet, follow it up with a proper confirmation, the release of Left 4 Dead 3 seems more probable than ever.
