Dragon Age Keep Bridges the Game-Save Gap Between Dragon Age II and Inquisition

Dragon Age Keep Bridges the Game-Save Gap Between Dragon Age II and Inquisition

It’s hard to keep track of all the choices players can make in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, and with Dragon Age: Inquisition looming on the horizon, remembering what happened in every save made could be stressful. (I personally have five Dragon Age: Origins completed game saves spread across three different characters, and three from Dragon Age II.) Fortunately, BioWare is taking such concerns seriously, and has created the Dragon Age Keep in response.

The Dragon Age Keep is a cloud-based save-game solution coming in 2014. Players will be able to construct completely new worlds for Dragon Age: Inquisition, taking into account every possible decision from Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. Players create their own history, and can then import that world into any version of Dragon Age: Inquisition, freeing players from being restricted to whatever platforms they played Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II on.

BioWare is also investigating a means of importing existing Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 saves into Dragon Age Keep. However, this aspect of the Keep is still in development, and whether it will be possible is unknown. The Dragon Age Keep beta will launch in early 2014. The full program will be available prior to Dragon Age: Inquisition’s launch to allow players plenty of time to create a new Thedas. To get the BioWare’s team take on the upcoming Inquisition, check out our recap of their PAX Australia panel.
