In a German-language press release, Starbreeze studios just announced that PAYDAY 2 sold 1.58 million copies worldwide in its first month. The first PAYDAY game didn’t have a boxed release, so existing fans were used to purchasing the series from a digital storefront. In addition, there were reported retail shortages of the game shortly after launch, as it proved more popular than its publisher expected.
