We are hearing a lot of news about delayed next-generation titles these days. First, Ubisoft delayed the release of Watch_Dogs . Now, Sony’s answer to the Forza series, Driveclub , is apparently being delayed.
This news comes from an anonymous source that spoke with The Same Coin, so treat this as rumor for now. The source said that Driveclub would be delayed until spring of 2014. The source gave no reason for the delay, though according to The Same Coin, the game has looked unfinished for a while now.
If this rumor is true, Sony is going to have a real problem on its hands. With Watch_Dogs delayed and now Driveclub being pushed until next year, there are few killer apps to purchase at the PS4’s launch. Meanwhile, the Xbox One has titles such as Killer Instinct , Crimson Dragon , and more. It sure as heck won’t sit well with retailers who have to figure out what to do with pre-ordered Driveclub PS4 bundles.
Sony and Evolution Studios have not yet made a comment on this rumor.
