With only a week and a little bit until Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus hits NA shelves, the folks over at Insomniac Games have decided to tease us with a new trailer. Posting over at the Playstation Blog, James Stevenson (Community Lead, Insomniac) writes “Ratchet is always known for great weapons” before linking us to a new trailer featuring both old fan-favorite weapons as well as some new ones.
The Winterizer is a particular favorite of mine–who can resist a weapon that spreads Christmas cheer and morphs enemies into life-sized snowmen? The Netherbeast and Nightmare Box aren’t far behind though: the first firing ethereal sharks that take down the enemy and the second launching unsettling machines to scare them. Come November 12 , Ratchet & Clank fans will be able to get their grubby paws on this new arsenal, but there’s more…
Stevenson gives us some info on Before the Nexus , an app for your phone that sees you guiding a running Ratchet & Clank through various environments, avoiding obstacles and hopping grindrails to collect bolts and Raritanium: a pickup that can be synced to your PSN account and used to upgrade your weapons in Into the Nexus.
They plan to run a Playstation Livestream in the next few weeks to give fans a clearer idea of how the game plays, and will no doubt be posting out more information about the game as we approach the release date.
