Console exclusives are mostly a thing of the past these days, but there are some titles that get exclusive content or first looks on different platforms. Destiny, the new game by Bungie, is one of those games as it seems to be putting its money behind the PS4. At the PS4 launch party in NYC, Bungie COO Pete Parsons said that the Destiny beta would be hitting Sony platforms first. Yes, this means that you can get the Destiny beta on the PS3, even if you haven’t yet chosen to early adopt the PS4.
The beta will begin in 2014 and will be open to everyone who pre-ordered the game. Some participants will also be able to secure beta codes through official Bungie promotions. Bungie still does not have a specific launch date for Destiny, nor did they have a beta date for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions.
We will bring you more information on the release of Destiny as it becomes available.
