Persona Day: Atlus Announces Persona 5 for PS3

Persona Day: Atlus Announces Persona 5 for PS3

Welcome to Persona Day everyone! Recently, Atlus announced four, yes four, new games in the Persona series, and today we cover them all. Up first on the list is Persona 5 .

Yes, the much-awaited next intallment in the Persona series has finally been announced. The game will release exclusivley for the PS3. Yes, that’s the PS3, not the PS4. This shouldn’t be too suprising, as Persona 4 , the last installment in the Persona franchise, came out for the PS2 when the PS3 had already been released.

Atlus recently released a teaser trailer for the game which didn’t reval too much info, but sure had us all hyped, confused, and terrified at the same time. The trailer showed a group of folding chairs that slowly got bigger. One by one a new chair would appear, and then a ball and chain would appear around one of its legs. This continued until the folding chairs filled the bright red background, each attached to their own ball and chain. Then the words, “You are slave. Want emancipation?” flashed across the screen before Atlus gave us the game’s release window, 2014.

Frankly, we have no idea what this game is going to be about, but it’s likely to be awesome. We will bring you more information on the release of Persona 5 as it becomes available.
