Developers from More Than 50 Countries Join Microsoft’s ID@Xbox Program

It’s the generation of the indie gamer everyone! Both Sony and Microsoft are inviting indie developers to self publish on their platforms.

Today, Microsoft announced the first wave of companies that has joined the ID@Xbox indie development program. You likely will recognize many of these companies, including Double Fine entertainment, Way Forward, and even Crytek. All of these studios are looking to self publish on the Xbox One platform.

The full list of indie developers enrolled in the program is as follows:

  • Slightly Mad Studio

This list is not comprehensive and will be added to as more and more studios are announced in the following months. Many of these studios have already announced titles for the Xbox One. For example, Demiurge will be bringing Shoot Many Robots to the platform. Also, Iron Galaxy will be bringing Divekick , the one true fighting game, to the Xbox One as well and will be taking advantage of all of it’s unique capabilities. Does this mean Kinect controlled Divekick is in our future? We can only hope.
