New Modes Showcased for Ultra Street Fighter IV

New Modes Showcased for Ultra Street Fighter IV

In a press release sent out last weekend, Capcom revealed several new modes that will be included in the new Ultra Street Fighter IV update. Some of these we have seen before in Street Fighter X Tekken while others are completely new additions.

The first new mode is the Online Training Mode. This allows players to get into a match together and set the parameters exactly how they like in order to practice their combos, setups, mix-ups and more. Both players can practice to their heart’s content in an environment with brand new restructured netcode.

The second new mode is a 3v3 battle mode, very similar to how matches in The King of Fighters play out. It’s currently unclear as to whether or not one player will have to control all three characters, or if individual players can take control of each character in an online setting.

Ultra Street Fighter IV will also introduce five new characters, four of which (Hugo, Rolento, Elena, and Poison) have been announced. Players can either purchase Ultra Street Fighter IV as a digital update for $14.99, or as a standalone game for $39.99. The game will release early in 2014.
