Recent retailer leaks point toward Diablo III heading to the Xbox One soon. The news comes from UK retailer Argos, who is currently taking preorders for an Xbox One version of the game. The pre-order listing says that the top down isometric RPG will be released for Xbox One platforms sometime in 2014.
Adding credence to this listing is another listing found at Best Buy Canada, which also pegged the game as coming out in 2014. However, the Best Buy listing has since been removed.
When Blizzard was asked about the listings they responded with, “One of our goals is to bring Diablo 3 to as many players as possible,” though they did not have any confirmations (nor denials for that matter) for any further platforms at this time. Diablo 3 is currently heading to the PS4 and is out on the PS3 Xbox 360 and PC. It wouldn’t be that odd to see the game come out on Xbox One platforms sometime in the near future.
