No Man’s Sky Release Still On Track Despite Studio Flooding

Yesterday, Hello Games boss Sean Murray confirmed via a blog post that their upcoming No Man’s Sky procedural video game is still slated to release on time despite the studio flooding that took place in Guildford over the holidays. Murray added that the team lost most of their equipment and are currently working out of a crowded workspace, but remained determined to finish the game in a timely manner.

In addition to talking about the future of No Man’s Sky , Murray also stated that many colleagues have been suggesting that he consider getting a Kickstarter campaign up and running to raise funds and recoup some of the losses. While he won’t completely rule out the idea, Sean doesn’t believe that it is a realistic option at this point in time. Instead, he remains optimistic that everything will turn around once the team moves into their new office in the coming weeks ahead.

No Man’s Sky was last seen during Spike’s VGX awards show in December. While no official release date has been given, we can all rest assured that the game has avoided cancellation and is still on the way.

Are any of you looking forward to playing No Man’s Sky once it launches on next-gen consoles? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
