A while back we reported on a new Square-Enix crossover event that was putting content from Final Fantasy XI and XIV into Dragon Quest X . Now DQX is returning the favor by putting its own content into FFXIV . The iconic Dragon Quest golem enemies will be roaming around the world of FFXIV , starting on January 21 st , and ending on February 3 rd . These golems bring with them a Golem centric quest involving Hawk Alvak of the Mythril Eye in Ul’dah, Steps of Nald. Complete the event and you will get a Thug’s Mug mask, which looks like an enemy from Dragon Quest .
In addition to the Dragon Quest content, Final Fantasy XIV is also getting some crossover content with Final Fantasy XI , Square-Enix’s previous MMO. Iconic character Shantotto has crossed over worlds as well. She too brings with her a quest, in which you will have to fight her. The catch? She grows to giant size before the battle begins! If you manage to defeat her, you will earn a wind-up Shantotto doll.
It is still unclear if Final Fantasy XI will get crossover content from XIV/i> and Dragon Quest X , but for not it seems unlikely. We will bring you more information on these games as it becomes available.
