Titanfall Gameplay Footage Leaked… and No One Was Surprised

Last week we reported on how EA and Respawn Entertainment had formulated their NDA such that impressions of the Titanfall alpha were unable to be shared. We also stated our opinion that the internet simply does not work that way, and that gamers were going to share their impressions one way or another. Lo and behold, the Titanfall alpha has started and a whole bunch of gameplay videos have leaked onto sharing sites like Dailymotion , Vimeo , and Blip . You know what that is Respawn? That is a huge bucket of “I told you so.” Feel free to dig in.

What’s actually hilarious is that many users are going to great lengths to avoid breaking the NDA while still talking about the game. For example, popular Youtube celebrity Maximilian explicitly could not talk about his own impressions of the game. So, instead, he talked about OTHER people’s impressions of the game that he read about on forums that he personally agrees with. No NDA breaking there. He even went as far as to give his “non-verbal” reaction to the game, showing his opinion through his facial expressions so as to not break the NDA which clearly centers on “talking” about info.

Long story short, there was no way in hell that you were going to get people to shut up about this Respawn. We get that the game isn’t finished yet. We get that the crappy textures that you are currently using are just placeholders. Heck, we even get that the network code will be completely redone before the game comes out. So trust us, and let the hype for your shooter build because trying to fight the internet is like trying to take down a giant 10 ton bull with a toothpick.
