Voiceover Cast Revealed for Elder Scrolls Online

Voiceover Cast Revealed for Elder Scrolls Online

Earlier on this month (January) it was explained how one could become the Emperor of Cyrodiil in The Elder Scrolls Online by the game’s creative director Paul Sage, and a few days later another batch of Beta invites was dished out to those who had registered to take part. Now, a voiceover cast of well-known talents for The Elder Scrolls Online has been revealed.

Detailed in a press release published today (January 24), Bethesda Softworks has announced the group of people who will be lending their voices to the world of The Elder Scrolls Online . The cast includes John Cleese, Bill Nighy, Kate Beckinsale, Alfred Molina, Michael Gambon and Malcolm McDowell, as well as Lynda Carter (who has returned to the Elder Scrolls series after she played a part in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ). Each of these people have starred in a feature movie both new, recent and old, such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail , Pirates of the Caribbean , Pearl Harbor , Spider-Man 2 , Harry Potter , A Clockwork Orange and Wonder Woman respectively.

“This extraordinary group of actors helps bring the distinctive characters in The Elder Scrolls Online to life,” said The Elder Scrolls Online game director Matt Firor. “In The Elder Scrolls tradition, we sought world class talent to add a deep and enriching component to the immersive world the series offers players.”

John Cleese will be voicing Cadwell, a cheerful yet lost soul who claims they aren’t afraid of anything; Bill Nighy will be a merchant prince; Kate Beckinsale takes the role of Queen Ayreen, the Queen of the High Elves and leader of the Aldmeri Dominion; Alfred Molina is Abnur Tharn, an old wizard and ploitcian who’s also head of the Empire’s Elder Council; Lynda Carter will be the voice of the Deadric deity Azura from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ; Michael Gambon voices a blind man known as The Prophet who will guide Elder Scrolls Online players to find their souls; and Malcom McDowell will be Molag Bal, the Deadric deity who’s messing things up in Tamriel.

In addition to the aforementioned persons, the voices of Peter Stormare, Jim Ward, Jennifer Hale (that’s a given) and Kevin Michael Richardson will also be playing a part in The Elder Scrolls Online . Stormare ( Fargo ) lends his voice to be Jorunn the Skald King, an unexpected monarch who led his people into an unlikely alliance. Ward ( Wall-E ) will be Mannimarco, a rogue High Elf wizard who was exiled for bringing back the dead. Hale takes on the role of Lyris Titanborn, a Nord half-giant, who aids The Prophet in guiding the player through their journey and Richardson will be the noble martial artist and master swordsman Sai Sahan.

The Elder Scrolls Online will be dropping on PC / Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later on this year, first on PC and Mac on April 4 and then in June for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
