NFL Now Coming To Xbox One for the 2014 Season

Super Bowl XLVIII will see the Seahawks and Broncos square off this Sunday for gridiron superiority. However, the NFL and Xbox are already looking ahead to the 2014 season.

The NFL recently announced its partnership with Xbox, to bring fans the new NFL Now service. It’s being called a, “…personalized video service providing fans with the NFL news, analysis and highlights across their Internet-connected devices.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell hyped the new venture, stating “We are always looking for ways to better serve our fans, and NFL Now will do just that. Our media strategy has been a key component in the growth and success of the NFL over the past 50 years, and we fully expect NFL Now to be a big part of that initiative in the future.”

Wil Mozell (who is General Manager at Xbox Entertainment Studios) also touted NFL Now , and explained how it will integrate with the other NFL apps currently available on the Xbox One. According to Mozell, it will include “…integrated NFL.com Fantasy Football and personalized highlight reels,” and is the “…first video service to provide a wide selection of content based on the NFL fan’s preferences, including NFL Teams, NFL Films…and newly created NFL Network content.”

NFL Now will launch this Summer, ahead of the start of next season.
