If you’re looking to build a Sopranos -esque empire in GTA Online (but find the 300 crew member limit a bummer), we’re bringing you some good news.
A recent announcement by Rockstar states they are officially raising the cap to 1,000 members, over tripling the original limit. Rockstar hopes that raising the cap will fuel crew expansion and encourage people to grow their ranks online. “…with the ability to seriously swell your Crew roster head count, it’s time for some heavy-duty rallying and recruiting…Be sure to use your Crew’s profile page feed and in-game messaging features this weekend to set up a few lobbies to meet, greet, audition or orient your new Crew mates.” Said the GTA developer.
With the huge popularity of Rockstar’s GTA V and then following it up with the uber-successful GTA Online roll-out, it would seem the gaming community is suffering from an embarrassment of riches from the beloved developer. However, they still continue to keep things fresh and interesting in the world of Los Santos. Take the latest crew vs. crew live stream they’ll be hosting this Friday for example, to celebrate the recent cap increase. “We’re also taking the occasion of this new Crew update to kick off the first Grand Theft Auto Online Crew vs Crew battle live stream this Friday February 7th at 2pm ET broadcasting from our official Twitch and YouTube channels.
