Yesterday, Bethesda confirmed via their Elder Scrolls Online website that they are currently still sending out beta key invites for a test that will be taking place on February 7 th . The studio also acknowledged that they have partnered with Curse.com and will be giving away 500,000 keys between now and February 10 th . These keys are only available on a first come, first served basis and can be obtained right here .
Anyone who is fortunate enough to participate in the test must abide by NDA regulations and cannot share any information or gameplay footage about the game. This is a standard industry practice for virtually every game that typically goes through a beta test phase before the final product is released.
I recently received my own personal invitation to test out the game this upcoming weekend. It’s great to see that Bethesda is extending their range and allowing a lot of people to test out this massive MMORPG in advance. This practice assures that they are committed to creating a successful game and are open to any and all criticisms that may come their way.
The Elder Scrolls Online launches on both the PC and Mac on April 4 th . PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are expected sometime in June.
