Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD PS3 Demo Released

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD PS3 Demo Released

Oddworld Inhabitants, the developer behind the Oddworld series, has announced today in a press release that a free playable demo of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD , the modern incarnation of 2005’s Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, has been released for PlayStation 3 in both Europe and North America.

The demo itself is said to offer up a rather generous portion of the full game, providing players with a rather large sample of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD . With updated visuals from its initial 2005 release on the Xbox, the demo boasts a resolution of 720p and a frame rate of 60 frames per second and 5.1 surround sound. What’s more, the demo also features stereoscopic 3D and optional PlayStation Move mechanics.

Furthermore, Oddworld Inhabitants has also released a rather large update to the existing version of the full game, which include the previously mentioned stereoscopic 3D and PlayStation Move mechanics, as well as re-encoded cutscenes, various performance improvements, leaderboards and additional languages.

The update itself is available for free to all existing owners of the game, which is available in Europe and North America, and the update also reduces the overall file size of the game. The Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD PlayStation 3 demo is available to download for free on the PlayStation Network here .
