Ryse Challenge Editor Canceled

Ryse Challenge Editor Canceled

Ryse: Son of Rome is just a game full of disappointment. It came out to lukewarm to poor reviews, and simply didn’t deliver on the God of War -esque action experience that everyone was waiting for. But at least the game has a challenge editor, right? This exclusive mode allows you to basically create your own challenge levels using the Xbox Smart Glass. It’s the first of its kind.

Or at least it would be, if it weren’t canceled. “After careful consideration, we have decided to cease development on Ryse: Son of Rome ‘s challenge editor and focus on improving and expanding fans’ experience with the game through both free content updates and purchased add-on packs,” a Microsoft spokesperson said to Polygon . “We look forward to sharing more details soon.”

Without the unique challenge mode, Ryse is even more of a generic action game experience, which is rather unfortunate. That being said, if you are still interested in giving the game a try, you can pick it up at a sale price of $40 through February 24 th .
