Persona Day: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Confirmed for America

Welcome to another Persona day everyone. Since Atlus loves to announce all their Persona info at once, we have a ton of new announcements for this popular JRPG franchise. The first, is the fighting game that swept the nation last year, Persona 4 Arena , and the release of its sequel, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax .

Titled Persona 4 Arena: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold in Japan, the sequel with a shorter title will be coming to North America  sometime this fall for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game will feature a host of new characters, incluing Junpei and Ykari from Persona 3. It will also include a brand new character developed exclusively for the game, Sho Minazuki. Every character will be fully rebalanced and will be given several new special moves, including secret moves that won’t be included in the game’s move list. Players will also be able to control “shadow” versions of characters, which are more aggresive but have fewer defensive options.

It is unclear as if next-generation versions of the game will be released. We will keep you updated on the release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax as more information becomes available.
