Outlast Whistleblower DLC Launches On PC and PS4 In April

Last night, Red Barrels announced via their Outlast Facebook page that the upcoming Whistleblower DLC add-on is scheduled to launch on both the PC and PS4 sometime in April. Outlast originally debuted on the PC last year and is now available for free to PS4 PS Plus subscribers.

Whistleblower focuses on the story of a software engineer by the name of Waylon Park. This disgruntled engineer is the one responsible for emailing journalists about the events at Mount Massive Asylum and is essentially the new character we will be playing as. Red Barrels added that this DLC would function as both a prequel and bookend to the original game.

Outlast has received generally favorable reviews from both critics and survival horror fans alike. Hearing this news about the DLC add-on is promising and gives the developers a chance to scare us all over again. There is no official word yet on what the PC version of Whistleblower will cost.

Have any of you had a chance to play Outlast yet? If so, please feel free to share your thoughts on this game and the upcoming DLC in the comments section below.
