Titanfall Developers Correct Speculated Titanfall Install Size

According to a recently revealed Titanfall Xbox One bundle, the game will have an “up to 40GB” install size. This falls in line with most other modern day shooters, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts at 39GB and Battlefield 4 at 32 GB. However, Respawn Entertainment says that the reported size is actually nearly twice as big as the game will actually be.

Community manager Abbie Heppe confirmed that the game will actually take up about 20GB of hard drive space. She said that the box was made before the final builds of the game were created, and so it was just a wild estimate at that point.

20 GB actually puts Titanfall significantly below other popular shooters in terms of install size. Maybe it’s because Titanfall is a multiplayer only game. Either way it will certainly make digital distribution fans happy. It means that we can all fit just a little bit more data onto our hard drives. 20GB is easily one extra game before your hard drive gets full.
