It looks like the old days of Tony Hawk ruling the skateboarding genre are over. Actually, it looks like the skateboarding genre itself is over, but that doesn’t mean Tony Hawk is going to stop creating games. In fact, Tony Hawk himself has announced that he is partnering with Activision to create a new extreme skateboarding title. Don’t get too excited though, it’s only going to be a mobile title.
“We’ve never gone exclusively that direction yet so I’m excited because, with the amount of time people are spending on their phones and their tablets playing games, we’ve never had our own game in that space so I’m excited to provide one finally,” he said.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 is currently available on iOS for the small price of only two dollars. However, it appears as if this title will be a brand new game built from the ground up.
