More Fulgore Gameplay Details Revealed

Microsoft recently revealed more details on the newest Killer Instinct character, Fulgore, coming out in the next few weeks. Fulgore will actually be a zoner style character, which dominates the game using projectiles and space controlling moves. For now, Killer Instinct only has one other zoner, and that’s Glacius. Glacius is incredibly slow and has to rely on his full screen projectiles and traps to get in. Will Fulgore operate the same way, or will be a faster more aerial zoner, similar to Morrigan in UMVC3 ?

Fulgore was not really a zoner in previous Killer Instinct games. Instead, he was kind of an all-around character like Jago. He had fireballs and uppercuts, and the only thing that really set him apart was his teleport. He will have his teleport again, though it may not operate as you remember. It will also be different from Spinal’s which has lead several people to speculate that it will have something to do with screen position or perhaps will allow him to teleport in the air. According to the design team, Fulgore has interesting match-ups against Sadira, who is an aerial character, and Glacius, who is another zoner. This has reinforced many fans’ idea that Fulgore will be able to teleport into the air. Also, Fulgore used to have a way to reflect projectiles in previous Killer Instinct games, so that may aid him in his fights against Glacius.
