Halo: Spartan Assault Coming To Steam On April 4th

Earlier today, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson confirmed that Halo: Spartan Assault will be coming to Steam on April 4 th for the retail price of $4.99. He also confirmed that the Windows 8 and Windows 8 Phone versions of the game would be on sale for $1.99 between April 3 rd and April 9 th .

Halo: Spartan Assault is a top-down third-person shooter that launched on the PC last summer. The game takes place between the events that transpired in both Halo 3 and Halo 4 respectively. The shooter finally made it’s way onto the Xbox One in late December and just recently was ported over to the Xbox 360 this past January.

PC gamers who have yet to experience this game will be in for a treat now that the price is a lot cheaper than it was before. While Microsoft hasn’t outright confirmed that a promotional price drop period will apply to the other versions of the game, I think that it would be outright foolish if it isn’t at least being considered at this point. It’s no secret that fans are waiting for news on the next Halo game, and hopefully E3 2014 will give us all a proper update on that.

Have any of you had a chance to play Halo: Spartan Assault yet? If so, please feel free to tell us what you think of the game in the comments section below.
