Initially teased in a brief video on Call of Duty’s official Instagram, Activision has confirmed the appearance of John McTiernan's Predator for Call of Duty: Ghosts’ upcoming DLC, Devastation.
The Predator’s cameo was confirmed at the tail end of the gameplay trailer for the Devastation DLC, which is slated to drop on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on April 3. The DLC’s release on other platforms will follow afterwards.
Also featured in the trailer are the four new maps that’ll be added to Call of Duty: Ghosts: Ruins, Behemoth, Collision and Unearthed. The new 2-in-1 SMG-AR weapon, the Ripper, will also be introduced to the game. What’s more, Episode 2 of Extinction, ”Mayday”, sets you on board a seemingly abandoned vessel. According to Eurogamer, this new episode puts you up against two new kinds of aliens: Seeders and a 100ft tall Kraken.
Activision confirmed its next Call of Duty title today, titled Call of Duty: Future Strike, which will be set in the year 2175. The interesting spin on this iteration of Call of Duty is that America will be painted as the villain. Call of Duty: Future Strike will also feature what seems to be described as mechs, called Goliaths, that can be called into battle.
