We are about two months out from E3, the biggest video game conference in the world, and it’s about time that the AAA companies started their big build up to E3 hype. The first to get on the hype train is EA, who has just officially scheduled its E3 2014 press conference. The conference will be held Monday, June 9 th , 2014 at the Lost Angeled Shrine Auditorium, one of the major venues for E3 press conferences.
Traditionally, the E3 press conference schedule starts with Microsoft, continues to E3, then to Ubisoft, and then ends with Sony. Usually Nintendo hosts their own press conference Tuesday morning before the convention, though last year they opted out due to poor Wii U sales.
EA has not yet told us what they will show this year. However, we will likely see a new Need for Speed , a new suite of EA Sports games, some Battlefield news, and so forth. We will also likely see a new Star Wars title and hopefully see some more about Mirror’s Edge 2 . Also, if EA doesn’t do some pimping of Titanfall ’s success, we would be incredibly surprised.
