StarCraft II 2014 Season 2 Has Begun

StarCraft II 2014 Season 2 Has Begun

Blizzard Entertainment announced on Monday, April 14 that Season 2 of StarCraft II’s 2014 league lay has now begun. This means that bonus pools and standings for StarCraft II players have been reset, and the game’s 2014 Season 1 milestones have been awarded. The ladder is now a level playing field. To view your results from Season 1, you can take a look at the “Leagues and Ladders” section of your StarCraft II profile.

What’s more, new ladder maps will be implemented into StarCraft II’s roster, specifically new maps for the 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 configurations. With that however, some ladder maps have been removed with the introduction of Season 2. Further information on StarCraft II’s Season 2 maps can be found over on Battle.net .

Hidden skill ratings used for matchmaking and deciding which league you’ll progress to will carry over from Season 1 to Season 2, like what Blizzard has done with previous seasons. If you were already placed in a particular league before Season 1 was locked, you’ll only have to play one placement match to start off the new season for you and progress into the next league.

Tychus, a character from the StarCraft series, had his hero spotlight for Heroes of the Storm revealed early last month. A Heroes of the Storm trailer for Kerrigan has also been revealed, too.

Heroes of the Storm entered its live Technical Alpha back in early March, which is currently only available to US-based players who are press, community members and friends and family of Blizzard Entertainment employees.

An extensive preview on the studio’s current plans for Hero of the Storm’s gameplay, cosmetics, mounts and player progression was also revealed a few weeks ago, detailing how you level up your profile and how you can progress in the game’s current state.

On Wednesday, April 9, Heroes of the Storm’s game director Dustin Browder published a post about how to effectively use your heroes both in and out of team fights, employing ambush tactics and hero focuses alike across the early, mid and late game. A hero spotlight video has also been revealed for Diablo’s Tyrael, the Archangel of Justice.
