Today, art was revealed for Decapre’s alternate costume in Ultra Street Fighter IV . The costume puts her in gladiator gear, complete with leather straps, locks and a metal mask. The design is quite a bit different from her basic costume, which has led many fans to ask “why couldn’t Capcom make a completely unique design in the first place?”
Decapre has caused quite a scandal in the fighting game world. She is a literal clone of Cammy, right down to her hairstyle. Her move-set, of course, is quite different and playing her is an entirely different experience. Not only that, but Street Fighter has a long history of clone characters. Just look at all of the shotos like Ryu, Evil Ryu, Ken, Dan, Akuma, Oni, Gouken, Sakura, and more. Even so, players were upset when she was revealed as the mystery fifth character.
All of the alternate costumes for the new characters in Ultra Street Fighter IV have a fantasy theme. Poison will have a pirate costume while Hugo will be dressed as a sort of executioner. Elena will be dressed as a barbarian and Rolento will be dressed as a wizard.
