Danganronpa 2 Hits North America On September 2nd

Last Friday, NIS America confirmed in a press release that Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is finally coming to North America and Europe on September 2 nd . The game will retail for $39.99 and will be available at several retailers and as a digital download through PSN. The first game in the series launched earlier this year on the PlayStation Vita and has been described as one of the best games out for the platform right now.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair puts players back into the shoes of a Hope Peak Academy High School student as a class trip to a remote island turns into another deadly game of murder. Players will be expected to match up evidence with their classmates’ stories and ultimately determine the identity of the killer at large. Spike Chunsoft has also confirmed that a third game in the series is being developed, but there is no official timetable on its release date yet.

After hearing that this sequel is finally heading west, many fans will no doubt be looking forward to getting their hands on the finished product later this year. The fact that this and several other popular Japanese titles are finally being imported to the US is a great incentive for PS Vita owners and will give them a lot to look forward to in the future.
