Phil Spencer Says Microsoft Needs To Do More With Xbox

While it’s no secret that the PlayStation 4 jumped out to an early lead over its Xbox counterpart right from the start, that doesn’t mean Microsoft plans to allow Sony to run away with the competition just yet!

Xbox head Phil Spencer recently stated via Twitter that, despite being outsold by nearly a 2:1 margin, this dog still has some hunt left in him. “Definitely in to win. We need to do more, that’s 100% of my focus.” He tweeted.

The “more” Spencer is referring to is likely the company’s plans to double-down on pushing the Xbox One as THE digital platform of the next-gen via Xbox Live and exclusive content. Microsoft has seemingly become more aware than ever that a course correction is in order, and several new initiatives on the horizon hope to put them back on track in gaining headway in the market (as they firmly occupy the #2 spot on all fronts).

Also, the NPD has recently released a new report that once again shows the PlayStation outselling the Xbox for the third month in a row.

But where are the Xbox One sales figures? Microsoft has been suspiciously quiet on this front since the beginning of the New Year. Check back tomorrow as I dig a little deeper and attempt to find out why.
