Last night, a GameStop Ad listing revealed that The Walking Dead: Game of the Year Edition is finally coming to both the PS4 and Xbox One on June 17 th . This special edition package is expected to retail for $29.99 and will include the first five episodes of Season One, the DLC add-on episode 400 Days, the game’s official soundtrack, and a behind the scenes video.
The Walking Dead is easily one of Telltale’s most successful projects to date. The Game of the Year edition originally debuted on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC late last year. Telltale reps haven’t officially confirmed today’s news yet, but we can all expect to hear more on this subject any day now.
After hearing that this title is finally coming to next-gen consoles, I think it’s safe to say that both The Wolf Among Us and the Second season of The Walking Dead will also end up on the latest hardware at some point later this year. Truthfully, both games are masterful in their own ways and I believe everyone should have the ability to play them on the console of their choice.
