Soul Calibur: Unbreakable Soul Announced

Soul Calibur: Unbreakable Soul Announced

Soul Calibur , the weapons based fighting game that used to be a huge part of the pro fighting game community, seems to be heading for more casual fields. For the last few months, we have heard lots of news about the upcoming Soul Calibur: Lost Swords , a free-to-play Soul Calibur title. Overall it’s not looking so bad, with a roster far bigger than Soul Calibur V ’s with a lot of fan favorites. It certainly looks the most AAA out of any free-to-play game we have seen so far.

Well, now Soul Calibur is going even MORE casual with a mobile title! The game, entitled Soul Calibur: Unbreakable Soul will likely come out for both Droid and iOS, but in reality we don’t know much about it. It was announced during Bandai Namco’s Global Gamer’s Day, but all we got was a title card. We have no idea how it is going to play or who is going to be in it. However, you can probably bet that it will be a simplified version of the normal Soul Calibur experience, with a touch based virtual joystick. Though, it would be cool if Bandai Namco rethought that strategy and actually made all the controls gesture based.
