You can Now Rent Games with PlayStation Now; More Titles Added

Sony’s PlayStation Now streaming service has received another update recently, which has introduced what appears to be the foundations of a rental system for PlayStation titles.

As you can see from the image above, there are currently three rental options available for you to choose from: one day, seven days and 30 days. However, because the PlayStation Now service is still in Beta, there are no respective price tags associated with each rental plan. What’s more, according to GameZone , an alternative subscription plan has been implemented to the service that differs from the Netflix-like subscription plan; this new plan is implied to offer users the option to rent multiple games instead of renting games individually.

As well as the introduction of the would-be rental system, new titles have been added to the services roster. These new games, along with the games that were added in the last update , bring the roster up to 32 individual games for Beta testers to choose from. The newly added titles are listed below.

  • Ben Omniverse 2

  • Contrast

  • Eat Them!

  • FUEL

  • GRID

  • Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear

  • LUMINES: Supernova

  • NIGHTS Into Dreams…

  • PixelJump Racers 2nd Lap

  • PixelJunk Shooter 2

  • Puppeteer

  • Retro/Grade

  • Sniper Elite V2

Sony distributed a new wave of PlayStation Now Beta invites to those who registered to be a tester recently, and it appears that the company is sending the invites out in waves. If you’re interested in taking part in the service’s beta, you can sign up for it over on the official PlayStation Now website .

When PlayStation Now was announced, GameStop’s shares took a knock of almost 9 percent at $43.98 of its shares, and the service itself currently requires a solid 5Mb/s internet connection.
