You could be forgiven for not knowing what Under Night In-Birth is. It’s an amazing fast paced fighting game from French Bread, the makers of Melty Blood . Up until now the game has only been seen in Japanese arcades, however now it appears as if it will be coming to PS3, courtesy of fighting game developer Arc System Works. It will launch for the PS3 in Japanese territories on July 24 th .
The home version of the game will contain at least one additional character. The first one to be revealed is Nanase, a character who wields a giant sword who has a grudge with the protagonist for some reason. Further characters may also be coming along with a full balance update, which is why the home version of the game is called Under Night In-Birth EXE: Late.
Currently it is only slated for a Japanese release, however there is a lot of fan support for a localized version. Note, that if you have a Japanese PSN account and a Japanese PSN points card, which are decently easy to buy, you can simply download the game off the Japanese PSN store, region free.
